DIY Natural Skincare for Babies: Simple Recipes for Sensitive Skin

As mothers, we strive to give our babies the best start in life, and that includes what we put on their delicate skin. There has been a significant shift towards natural skincare in recent years, and for good reason. Natural ingredients are gentle, safe, and free from the harsh chemicals often found in commercial products. Today, I’ll share some of my all-time favorite simple recipes for sensitive skin, ideal for babies and the whole family!

Why Choose Natural Skincare for Babies?

Babies have sensitive skin that is more prone to irritation and dryness. Natural skincare products are less likely to cause allergic reactions or irritation compared to synthetic alternatives. They also tend to be more eco-friendly and cost-effective.

If you’ve followed my blog for a while, then you will know that I started Petit Jovial when I couldn’t find skincare for my son that was natural and gentle enough for his skin. Although Petit Jovial is on pause, I’ve kept a rule to have skincare that is as pure and simple as possible. The fewer the ingredients, the better.

Fun Fact: Natural Baby Skincare has Always Been Around

Did you know that in ancient Egypt, mothers used olive oil and honey to care for their babies’ skin? These natural ingredients were cherished for their moisturizing and antibacterial properties, much like they are today.
