When you’re a kid, art and craft Ideas are everywhere! Encouraging creativity in young children is not only fun but also essential for their cognitive and emotional development. Engaging in arts and crafts activities allows children to express themselves, develop fine motor skills, and explore their imagination. As a mum, you can provide your child with a variety of creative opportunities, which is especially useful for rainy days too!
I remember doing a collage with my son using materials we found during a nature walk. He was so proud of his creation, pointing out each leaf and flower he had carefully glued onto the paper. Seeing his eyes light up with excitement reminded me of the magic that happens when children are given the opportunity to explore their creativity.

If your child is still at a stage when they put everything in their mouth, then pic things that are edible. Combine art and literacy by encouraging your child to illustrate their favorite storybooks. After reading a story together, provide your child with paper and art supplies, and let them create their own illustrations inspired by the story. Of all these art and craft ideas, this might seem like it is for older children, but you can simply adapt the activity. Older kids can go a lot more detailed, while a small child can simply draw out his feelings with colors. Storybook illustrations not only foster creativity but also help develop reading comprehension and storytelling skills.
